Disaster Statistics

Do Not Have a Plan

Think a Plan is Unecessary

Will Experience a Disaster in a Year

63
Claim they can resume normal operations within 72 hours of a critical event
43
of businesses that experience a disaster and do not have a plan never reopen
29
of those that do reopen are still operating two years later

Economic Impact

Don’t become a statistic

Hurricane Katrina was the costliest hurricane ever in US History with $81 Billion in property damage, then…

Hurricane Harvey caused $125 billion in damage. It is the costliest storm in U.S. history. The death toll in Texas from Harvey is listed as 88.

The heatwave of 1980 cost $29 Billion and over 1,000 lives.

Worldwide, natural disasters caused a total of $1.5 Trillion in damage between 2003 and 2013.

The AHA estimates a total four month financial impact of $202.6 billion in losses for America’s hospitals and health systems, or an average of $50.7 billion per month.

Given that hospital and physician expenditures represented $1.9 trillion in spending in 2018, $100 billion may be “woefully inadequate”

The economic cost of the first two months spent fighting the pandemic will be $2.14 trillion.

Services

Emergency Preparedness

We assist the client in developing plans, procedures, and determining necessary logistics to mitigate hazards

Contingency Planning

Despite the best planning, bad things still happen. Having contingency plans to minimize lost time is a smart investment in your company’s future.

Continuity Operations

Goes along with contingency planning. Continuity operations are those outside of normal operations. We can assist in this process, because we understand that time lost, is money lost.

Security Assessments

Businesses face a variety of threats. We gather and analyze data from law enforcement, business groups, FEMA and other agencies, perform a site survey and provide a straight-forward analysis.

Our services use an all hazards approach to preparedness and mitigation, based upon the National Incident Management System (NIMS) to guide and assist clients in implementing field proven, time tested techniques.
